There are multiple perks of having your newborn photographer travel to your home for newborn photos:
1) You don’t have to go anywhere and worry about getting yourself, your partner, your baby, and possibly siblings all ready to get out the door at a specific time.
2) You and your family can remain comfortable in a familiar environment.
3) In-home sessions offer the opportunity for your photographer to capture both posed newborn photos as well as lifestyle/documentary images.
The immediate postpartum phase is one filled with emotions, new routines (or none at all!), lack of sleep, and sweet memories. One of my favorite memories is laying in bed with my oldest as a newborn curled up on my chest, listening to Beck’s Morning Phase album over and over again. We would walk to Starbucks down the road with Grayson in the frontpack. I still remember his fluffy ginger hair poking out of the top of the baby carrier–I would bend my head and inhale his newborn smell and kiss him over and over again.
