Why you should book an in-home newborn photo session:
1) You don’t have to go anywhere and worry about getting yourself, your partner, your baby, and possibly siblings all ready to get out the door at a specific time.
2) You and your family can remain comfortable in a familiar environment. If you are healing from a c-section or a significant tear, even thinking about going anywhere but from the bedroom to the kitchen can seem daunting. Choosing an in-home newborn session can facilitate your healing while not compromising on quality newborn images for your family.
3) In-home sessions offer the unique opportunity for your photographer to capture posed newborn photos as well as lifestyle/documentary images.
When I do in-home newborn sessions, I bring several props, including a basket or bucket, multiple colored stretch wraps, hats, bows, and more. I work with you to find a color scheme you like and we work together on keeping baby as comfortable as possible when doing posed photos. The toy dinosoars making a cameo appearance in a few photos from this session were big brother’s toys and made a fun prop for some quintessential boy photos. If you have special blankets, outfits, or stuffed toys you want to incorporate, we can do that!
