Welcome! My name is Cydney and I’m the owner and lead photographer of Lavender Bouquet Photography. Since 2011, I have had the pleasure of capturing over 250 weddings and over a thousand portrait sessions both on my own and alongside my husband, Jason. We have been married for nearly 12 years and have three goofy, lovable boys. 

Originally based in Tacoma, WA, we uprooted our little family and transplanted ourselves into the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2021. We still travel at least once a year back to Washington to visit friends and photograph mini sessions for previous clients.

I also have a background in STEM and education and am now a registered nurse working in pediatrics, NICU, OB, and Labor and Delivery. I love both my job as a photographer and as a nurse and can’t imagine doing one at the exclusion of the other. I love helping feel like they are taken care of and I love capturing beautiful fleeting moments in peoples’ lives.

If I’m not working as a nurse or shooting weddings and portrait sessions, I’m trying to garden, reading on my Kindle, dabbling in film photography and developing film, and watching The Why Files.
